Additional Information
Departure and return times are approximate and depend on your hotel location. The exact transfer time will be provided after booking;
The tour usually takes place in open-top cabrio buses — this adds excitement, a light sense of adventure and lets you fully enjoy the scenery;
Please wait for the excursion transfer outside the hotel — at the entrance or barrier. Please note that the bus may not be allowed to enter some hotel grounds. This is due to internal hotel rules and to avoid conflicts with local guides;
Transfer is included in the price from all areas of Side;
Please note:the guide may change the order of the stops, but the entire excursion program remains unchanged;
For children.Children without a separate ticket travel without their own seat on the bus (on an adult's lap). If you need a separate seat, book the child with a seat;
The excursion has an active format, so it is better suited to adults and older children. Traveling with small children may be less comfortable due to the full program and the way the tour moves between locations;
If you plan to purchase photos and videos from the photographer, bring a USB drive. After returning to the hotel, make sure the correct files were saved;
Payment is made on the day of the excursion. US dollars, euros and Turkish lira are accepted. Card payment may also be available (confirm when booking).
Weather conditions and recommendations for the Side sightseeing tour
The Side sightseeing tour takes place in the Manavgat and Green Canyon area, where the climate is slightly different from the coast due to the mountains and large reservoir. Even in summer, the Green Canyon area usually feels fresher and has more comfortable air temperatures.
April – May
Spring is considered one of the best periods for this excursion. Nature is especially green and fresh, the mountains are not yet very hot, and Green Canyon looks at its most picturesque. Air temperatures are usually +22…+30°C. The lake water remains cool at around +18…+22°C, so swimming may not suit everyone, but walks and relaxation are very comfortable. We recommend bringing a light sweater, especially for time near the lake and in the mountains.
June – September
Summer is the most popular time for the excursion. On the coast, air temperatures can reach +35…+40°C, but in the Green Canyon area the mountains and water make the heat much easier to tolerate. The lake temperature is usually around +22…+26°C and is great for a refreshing swim. In summer, be sure to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and drinking water.
October
Autumn is considered a very comfortable time for this excursion. Air temperatures are usually +25…+30°C, while the lake remains pleasant for swimming at around +22…+24°C. The intense summer heat is gone, and the canyon scenery looks especially beautiful.
November – March
In winter, the excursionruns less frequently and depends on weather conditions. Air temperatures are usually +15…+22°C, while the lake becomes cool at around +16…+19°C. Rain, wind and fog are possible in the mountains and canyon area, so some boat trips or parts of the route may be shortened or cancelled. Warm clothing and closed shoes are strongly recommended for winter trips.
Useful recommendations for the Side sightseeing tour
▪️Comfortable shoes are best, as part of the route includes natural areas and viewpoints;
▪️Even in summer, a cool breeze may be felt near Green Canyon because of the mountains and water;
▪️In spring and autumn, we recommend bringing a light sweater or windbreaker;
▪️Swimming in the lake is possible in the warm season, but the water in Green Canyon is usually cooler than on the coast;
▪️In heavy rain, strong wind or unfavorable weather, the excursion route may be adjusted for guest safety.
